Enable - Workable

The idea of the ENABLE-WORKABLE project came from the desire to change the way in which disability is perceived in Poland. According to the medical model of disability, it is regarded as a deficiency or abnormality, while in other countries it is considered as a difference. In this case removing obstacles is based on creating proper interactions between an individual and the community.

One of the best sources of good practice in the field of vocational activation of people with disabilities is Malta. Maltese society is based based on the belief in the dignity of every human being and equal opportunities. The key issue leading to social inclusion is to take appropriate actions in the field of professional activation.

In line with such assumption, the main goal of the project is to strengthen the conditions for the professional activation of people with disabilities in the Lower Silesia region through the transfer of best practise in this field from Malta by November 2014.
